A New Era Begins: SFC and SLF Welcome New Presidents with Powerful Visions for
2025-26
The air at Jenny’s Residency was buzzing with excitement on August 3rd, 2025, as the Sindhi
Forum Coimbatore (SFC) and Sindhi Ladies Forum (SLF) hosted their 24th and 20th AGMs,
respectively. The evening was a perfect blend of formal proceedings and lively fellowship,
celebrating a year of incredible achievements and ushering in new leadership with bold themes
for the year ahead.
Celebrating a Year of Success
The outgoing teams of 2024-25 were celebrated for a term filled with impactful events, social
projects, and community engagement. Outgoing SFC President Lavin R. Shivnani and SLF
President Preeti Punjabi took the stage to reflect on their successful tenures.
Key highlights from the year included:
- SFC’s Digital Leap: The adoption of digital platforms for subscriptions and UPI QR payments.
- A New Home for Sindhi Times: The launch of the magazine’s official website, www.sindhitimes.com, marking a significant step into the digital world.
- Focus on Family: A special emphasis on building engagement through events focused on children.
- SLF’s Phenomenal Impact: The successful execution of 24 social projects aimed at improving the lives of children, disabled adults, and the elderly.
Annual reports were presented by outgoing secretaries Gaurav Mirgh (SFC) and Karishma
Raheja (SLF), while treasurers Kunal Hinduja (SFC) and Siya Asrani (SLF) presented the yearly
budgets.
A Vision for the Future: “One Pride, One Roar” and “Shakti”
The torch was officially passed as the incoming presidents were introduced. Dinesh S. Mainani,
the 24th President of SFC, introduced his powerful theme for the 2025-26 term: “One Pride,
One Roar” . In a heartfelt acceptance speech, he shared,
“Ajj ka hik nai zimmedarri shuru thi
tahie… dil saan kanda se, mili kare kanda se aa khili kare kanda se”.
He then creatively introduced his new team using AI-generated visuals and hilarious punchlines.
The SFC team for the year is Mukund Kinger (Vice President), Sunil Tukrel (Secretary), Gaurav
Mirgh (Joint Secretary), Rahul Makhija (Treasurer), Lavin Shivnani (Immediate Past President),
Akash Jumani, Kamlesh Gera, Karan Raheja, Kunal Hinduja, Kunal Valecha, Prashant Nagpal,
Pratham Talreja, Prem Mainani, Vikram Ahuja, and Radhika Hinduja (Editor – Sindhi Times).
Taking charge as the 20th President of SLF, Kajal Lund energized the room with her theme and
delivery of her vision for the year: “Shakti”.
In a powerful acceptance speech, she introduced her dynamic team for the upcoming year.
In a special moment celebrating the SLF’s 20th AGM milestone, all past presidents of the Ladies Forum were
honored for their contributions.
The SLF team for the year is Pooja Talreja (Vice President), Navya Raheja (Secretary), Ekkta
Makhija (Joint Secretary), Deepika Kunal (Treasurer), Siya Asrani (Joint Treasurer), Preeti
Punjabi (Immediate Past President), Ruhi Shivnani, Hiral Ayani, Ananya Hinduja, Karishma
Raheja, and Ritvi Kinger.
New Initiatives and Welcomes
The spirit of community and charity was alive and well with the announcement of new projects:
- The Limb Donation Project: Introduced by SFC’s First Lady, Pretika Mainani, this initiative saw an overwhelming number of members immediately pledge their support.
- The “Fellowship Basket”: An initiative introduced by Akash Jumani to bring member families closer by randomly selecting four families to bond over a meal or activity.
SFC was also thrilled to welcome new members Yash Lund and Nihal Uttamani, while SLF
welcomed Vrinda Lulla and Sapna Lakhi to their fold.
Hosted brilliantly by MCs Aanika Jumani and Muskaan Bhatija, the formal event concluded with
a vote of thanks from Sunil Tukrel. Afterward, members moved to the Zoi club to continue the
celebration with music, dance, and fellowship, marking a vibrant start to the new year.
