The Joint Annual General Meeting for the Sindhi Forum Coimbatore and the Sindhi Ladies Forum was held on Sunday, 4th August 2024. It was organized at Darza Resorts—a welcome change of the AGM venue which was appreciated by one and all.
The 23rd SFC AGM and the 19th SLF AGM started sharp at 7.10 p.m. with a devotional prayer song by Mrs. Shruti Bathija. The gathering then observed 2 minutes of silence in remembrance of the dear ones we lost in the year gone by. MC Nisha welcomed the gathering while Mr. Sandeep Jumani called the AGM to order.
Ms. Ekkta Rahul and Ms. Nisha Samtani were the hosts for the evening. They had the audience in uplifted spirits with their wit and enthusiasm. We had the respective treasurers of the SFC- Mr. Mukund Kinger and the SLF- Mrs. Siya Asrani reading out their reports for the financial year gone by. The outgoing president Mr. Sandeep Jumani delivered his speech outlining the achievements of the last year. The SLF’s past president Mrs. Neha Mehaboobani delivered her outgoing speech. We then had a special presentation for honoring and felicitating past presidents of the SFC. This was done in lieu of the momentous celebration of the Sindhi Forum Coimbatore completing 25 years.
The retiring members of the SFC- Mr. Sanjay Lulla and Mr. Harish Teckchandani were felicitated. The jewel was exchanged between Mr. Sandeep Jumani and the incoming SFC President Mr. Lavin Shivnani.
Lavin then introduced the incoming committee members of his team through a very interesting presentation.
The SFC Core Committee (2024-2025) consists of
Mr. Gaurav Mirgh- Secretary,
Mr. Dinesh S Mainani- VP,
Mr. Kunal Hinduja-Treasurer, and,
Mr. Pratham Talreja as Joint Secretary.

and Mrs. Meeta Chablani- Editor.
We had the acceptance speech delivered by the incoming President of the Sindhi Ladies Forum, Mrs. Preeti Punjabi. She then introduced her new committee with a wonderful video presentation and unveiled the SLF logo for the year “Beautiful Minds”.
3 new member families are joining the forum. They were introduced on the dias by Mr. Lavin. They are Mr.Mohit and Mrs.Roshni Jadhwani, Mr.Ashwin and Mrs. Disha Mehra,and, Mr. Prashanth Rajesh Lund.
The program was brought to a close by a vote of thanks speech by Mr.Gaurav Mirgh.
The dinner and the dance floor were then open for the members. Everyone enjoyed the spirits sponsored by Mr. Kiran Punjabi and the crowd danced their woes away on the beats of the fabulous lady DJ. The pictures tell us how fabulous the event was!
